Webcoric was coined on March 16, 2019, by an anonymous individual via now deleted Tumblr blog Nebularomantic.4
It was redefined on May 15, 2021, by LGBTA Wiki user Bluesprucedude,5 though it seems to be heavily based on the definition of the recoining of Webcoric.
It was redefined again on January 15, 2023, by MOGAI Wiki user Foreignfool.6
