Coin and Recoin Definitions
Neogender is an umbrella term defined as "genders coined recently; describing subgenders (gender subtypes or subsets), gender neolabels and gender microlabels. Neo- means new, archaeo- old, so non-neogenders would be classified as wiki:archaeogenders.
It may also (mis)apply to archeogenders whose population use is minor scale, i.e. epicene. And since someone can use neo-identities like (fe)malegender (suffixed with -gender), boygender/girlgender and exorgender meaning the same as (wo)man, boy/girl and binary, (fe)male binaries could be considered neogendered."1
It was recoined as "Neogender is an umbrella term used to describe any gender coined/created in or after the year 2000. It also includes genders that were given definitions in or after 2000, as long as there was no strong implied definition and/or it was used to describe something different than does now.
Neogenders are also MOGAI genders and any genders that don’t fit under Neogender aren’t MOGAI genders. That doesn’t exclude genders that fall under Xenogender, Aesthetigender, etc. due to both of them and every term under them being neogenders."2
Redefinitions
Both Neogenders
It was redefined as "an umbrella term for any gender terms that were coined recently. Under the most strict definition of the term it describes any gender created or given a definitions [sic] in or after the year 2000, though the exact limit of when something stops being a neogender may be subjective.
The term is sometimes incorrectly used interchangeably with xenogenders. Although the majority of xenogenders would qualify as neogenders, due to the concept being relatively new, not all neogenders are inherently xenogenders. The term is also sometimes misapply [sic] to genders that are not well known (regardless of how old the gender is) (eg: epicene). Additionally not all neogender [sic] are uncommon. For example, under the most strict definition, even commonly known terms such demiboy would qualify as neogenders.
The opposite of neogenders are classified as archaeogenders."3
