Faunagender can be used as a specific term if referring to a gender is related to many animals, or is related to animals in general. Faunagender can also be used as an umbrella term for many genders that related to specific animals (such as catgender or pupgender).
Faunagenders might be related to an animal because one has a very strong connection to that animal; either strongly identifying with them or simply wanting to incorporate them into their gender to better understand their identity. Faunagender might also be metaphorically related to an animal, with one's gender having the qualities of that animal. Faunagender can be kingenders, but to not necessarily have to be."2
