Name(s) and Definition(s)
Demi-xenogender also known as Demix and incorrectly referred to as "Demixenogender"1 by Tumblr user IDvault and formerly "Demixeno"2 on the LGBTA Wiki is a Xenogender likely defined as "Partially identifying as a xenogender," though it was undefined at its coining.
It was first defined/redefined as "a gender in which one is partially, but not fully a xenogender. They may or may not identify as another gender in addition to being partially a xenogender. Demigender people may also identify as non-binary. Some may feel that they are partially more than one xenogender.
Demixenogender may also be used by people who feel that they are not fully xenic, but usually, do not experience a significant enough dissociation to create real physical discomfort or dysphoria."3
It was again redefined as "a gender in which one is partially, but not fully a xenogender. They may or may not identify as another gender in addition to being partially a xenogender. Demigender people may also identify as non-binary. Some may feel that they are partially more than one xenogender. It could be 50%/50%, 75%/25%, 1%/99%, or any percentage in between.
Demixenogender may also be used by people who feel that they are not fully xenic, but usually, do not experience a significant enough dissociation to create real physical discomfort or dysphoria."4
It was redefined a third time as "when one partially or semi-identifies as any given xenogender. They may feel like their xenogender is only partially there, or that it does not fit them enough to be fully worth identifying as. Any reason works, so long as itβs partial. It can be a modifier as well for xenogenders, such as demigenderapianum or other examples."5
It was redefined a fourth time as "a gender in which one is partially, but not fully a xenogender. They may or may not identify as another gender in addition to being partially a xenogender. Demigender people may also identify as non-binary. Some may feel that they are partially more than one xenogender.
Demixenogender may also be used by people who feel that they are not fully xenic, but usually, do not experience a significant enough dissociation to create real physical discomfort or dysphoria."6
